Located in the central Piazza Cavour, Vista Palazzo, housed in a late Gothic palace of the 1800s, was born in 2018 from the idea of Bianca and Luigi Passera, with the collaboration of the Maurizio Maggi studio in Milan, who gave life to a boutique hotel inspired to the elegant atmospheres of the past, offering, at the same time, all the comforts of a very modern home.

Also open to non-guests of the structure, the famous Infinity Bar is a must-visit for all regulars of Lake Como. Located on the panoramic terrace of the building, it is perfect for an aperitif with a view and for a sweet or savory break taking advantage of the menu available 24 hours a day.

For a fine dining lunch or dinner, the Sottovoce restaurant offers the cuisine of chef Stefano Mattara, with starry experiences behind him, famous for the creative reinterpretations of traditional Italian dishes such as “Era una pasta”, based onCarnaroli rice “Riserva San Massimo” creamed with roman pecorino cheese, crispy pork cheeks, confit shallot and tomato drops, or “ Il Duomo nel Piatto ”, veal cube with tomato jelly, rocket caviar and balsamic mayonnaise.

Whether for a cocktail or a 7-course tasting, sitting at the counter of the intimate terrace, enjoying the spectacle of the boats that ply the blue waters against the backdrop of the green mountains, is one of the most beautiful experiences that Lake Como offers. And the mise en place? With the beautiful porcelain designed by Gio Ponti for Richard Ginori that complete a decor inspired by the best of Made in Italy design.

Precious interiors that reveal their magnificence right from the hall, a play of black Marquinia marble with white and gray veins that welcome guests to the reception located at the foot of the magnificent period staircase leading to the rooms.

The hotel offers 18 suites, all with living room, large walk-in closet, and lake view. The decor, personally cared for by Bianca Passera, is custom-designed with noble finishes in mahogany and marble, a material that becomes a work of art in the bathrooms. Each of them is, in fact, decorated with a play of 5 marbles of different shades – eau de Nil, dove gray, black, red and green – softened by elegant freestanding bathtubs and spacious rain showers. The elegance of the rooms is completed by a careful selection of iconic objects of Italian design such as the Arco lamps by Flos, the Cosmic Leaf by Artemide or the upholstery of the Como-based company Dedar which also embellishes the headboards of the king-size beds.

But you know…the devil and true luxury are hidden in the details, and so complete the richness of the furnishings the sheets of impalpable organic linen, the very soft towels and bathrobes, or the rite of the turndown, which is the preparation service of the room for the night that, in addition to the general reorganization, includes also the provision of a relaxing facial mask and a lavender spray for guests to sleep peacefully.
And the special treats to choose from are still many, as hospitality is truly an art at Vista Palazzo.

One of the secrets that makes every stay at Vista Palazzo magical is called Alberto: outdoor butler of the hotel, he welcomes and takes care of guests, satisfying every desire, from having a bed sprinkled with roses for the most romantics, up to book a Riva motorboat complete with a photographer on board for the more adventurous.
