Originally a country residence for noble Lombard families, Villa Arzaga, nestled in the hills of Lake Garda near Desenzano del Garda, is a resort devoted to eternal beauty, with porticoed courtyards, marble staircases, and frescoes that evoke the elegance of the Renaissance. Located in the heart of the Arzaga Golf Club, in 2022 the villa was chosen by the QC Spa of Wonders group to launch QC Termegarda, a project that combines wellness and local culture.

For us, Villa Arzaga was the ideal place to host one of our Spa of Wonders, where the beauty of history meets that of the surrounding nature and the healing power of water.

Starting with the thermal pool carved into the rock of Bormio Bagni Vecchi, QC Spa of Wonders, Italy’s leading wellness group, was founded in 1982 from the dream of brothers Saverio and Andrea Quadrio Curzio, who revolutionized the concept of traditional balneotherapy by opening wellness centers in aesthetically stunning locations offering unique experiences that engage both mind and body.

QC Spa Villa Arzaga Garda includes the QC Grand Hotel Villa Arzaga Garda that offers 78 rooms and suites, spread across the ancient walls of the villa and the residences nestled in the park, combining the intimate feeling of living in a private residence with the sense of freedom and well-being of the centuries-old park.

In the morning, opening the windows, your gaze wanders across the golf courses, while the light from Lake Garda softly filters across the ancient facades. After the ritual breakfast, you can head straight to the spa, moving from the silence of the rooms to the warmth of the panoramic pools and the scent of the saunas.

The spaces of the marvelous wellness center—also open to external guests—define two distinct souls. On one side, La Tenuta, with the Hayloft, the Barrel Room, and the Vineyard Portico, evokes agricultural life, the memory of past harvests, and the fruits of the earth.

On the other side, La Riva, with its pools and watery charm, celebrates Lake Garda and its scents, which for centuries have recounted the culture of these lands and accompanied guests’ relaxation.

The wellness program includes over 30 rituals, including panoramic indoor and outdoor pools, Turkish baths, and aromatic saunas. These include the renovated Vasca delle Anguane, where the effervescence of endless bubbles can envelop you; the panoramic Vasca di Garda, where you can bathe at sunset; and the Vasca Cinema, where immersive video projections combine with the healing power of water. Whether for pure enjoyment or a full-on workout, more athletic guests can also practice their swing with the Golf Simulator.

QC Spa Villa Arzaga Garda offers guests the Wonder Aperitif ritual. Starting at 5:00 PM, the famous sunset ritual is served, combining relaxation and conviviality (the aperitivo is complimentary and included in the wellness program).

The resort also offers the pleasure of fine food and wine, which can be enjoyed in your bathrobe for total relaxation at the Arzaga Bistrot. Buffet options include the Wellness Break, a light lunch featuring salads, cured meats, and local cheeses, paired with side dishes, fresh seasonal fruit, and delicious desserts, and the Wellness Lunch, an even more generous option with a refined selection of hot first and second courses.

The Secret

Villa Arzaga has always had a distinguished clientele. Its last owner was, in fact, the founder of the DDD record label, which discovered and launched Eros Ramazzotti. Its roster also included artists such as Mia Martini, Fausto Leali, Le Orme, Enzo Jannacci, Fiorella Mannoia, Jo Squillo, Matia Bazar, the ’80s phenomenon Rondò Veneziano, and many others.
