L’Albereta was born in 1993 from an idea of Vittorio Moretti, founder of the Terra Moretti wine group which also includes Bellavista Wine, with the vision of making the 5-star hotel the symbol of the art of hospitality of Franciacorta and its values, primarily a sense of family, haute cuisine and good drinking.

In the same year, Gualtiero Marchesi, already a Michelin star in 1978, arrives at the helm of the resort’s restaurant, starting a real revolution in the hotel industry by giving life to a unique model that still today makes L’Albereta the favorite retreat of many celebrities and the scene of declarations of eternal love (for which it is said to bring luck).

Since I was a child, I dreamed of creating a place with a warm and familiar atmosphere where hospitality would marry my idea of luxury; the possibility of regaining possession of one’s time.

Today L’Albereta is led by Carmen Moretti, Vittorio’s eldest daughter, together with her husband Martino de Rosa, an attentive and generous host who takes care of every detail of the resort, from the flowers present in every corner to the myriad of candles and lights that also decorate the wonderful park.

At the helm of the kitchen, there is the chef Fabio Abbatista, of Apulian origins, with experience in the Michelin-starred Le Gavroche by Michel Roux and Spoon by Alain Ducasse, who proposes creative recipes inspired by local and “family” raw materials such as extra virgin olive oil from L ‘Uliveta di Mariella cultivated in the Moretti estate in Tuscany or the lake fish of Andrea Soardi, one of the last fishing families on the nearby Lake Iseo.

Delicious recipes such as black beluga lentils, mashed potatoes, lemon and caviar or risotto with grilled leek cream, black truffle and vegetable essence are accompanied by the reinterpretation of the great classics of the resort such as the Fillet of Fassona “alla Rossini”, sauce with red wine and red fruits, the Milanese-style veal cutlet with baked potato, teryaki and mixed seeds or the Rose Cake. Everything, from bread to focaccia, is handmade with mother yeast and special stone-milled flours according to the philosophy that what is yummy must also be good for your health.

The choice of wines is nothing but fun with an international cellar that boasts over 600 labels, obviously including Terra Moretti wines and the famous family bubbles such as the Bellavista Grande Cuvée Alma Non Dosato.

In winter, after an aperitif at the new lounge bar Stanza 54, choose a table for two near the window overlooking the lake, while, as soon as the summer allows it, it is really very romantic to dine on the panoramic terrace, made magical by the many lanterns, the lights rolled up on tree branches and a spectacular glazed fireplace.

The ideal is to stop and sleep in the resort to savor a luxury made of slow time and those wonderful details that have made L’Albereta famous all over the world such as the tableware decorated with “happy thoughts”, the small sculpture frogs, an auspicious symbol scattered everywhere, or the home essences to be sprinkled on the pillow in the evening.

Faithful to the value of the family, the name of the restaurant is a tribute to the historical keeper of the estate, Leone.
