In Cima di Porlezza, overlooking Lake Lugano, Aria Retreat & SPA is an original architectural project set in Mount Bronzone that offers the only panoramic spa with an infinity pool in the province of Como.
Opened in spring 2022, member of The Leading Hotels Of The World, the first to succumb to the charm of this corner of paradise, immersed in a subtropical park of 35,000 square meters and a forest of over 200,000 square meters, were the Celts Lepontieri who settled nearby of the luxury resort, in Val Menaggio, establishing a deep bond with nature.
As a symbol of this magical connection, the divine force that pervades the surrounding nature, the spa of Aria Retreat was called CEò, from the Celtic name of the fog which, according to the ancient people, has the magical power to wrap everything like a veil and make it invisible.
An “emotional experience” linked both to living in symbiosis with the surrounding nature and to an original immersive lighting project that ranges from step-marker “fireflies” to sensors that anticipate the movements of guests.
The gem of the architectural project of the resort, designed by the Milan architecture firm R4M Engineering, which has 15 spacious suites, the fine dining restaurant La Musa Restaurant & Rooftop Terrace and the lounge bar La Dolce Vita Lounge & Terrace, is the adults-only panoramic spa that is spread over three floors inspired by the ancient rural terraces typical of the area.
The first terrace houses the heated indoor pool of 130 square meters with a relaxation area with large windows and the outdoor infinity pool with saline water, also heated; the intermediate floor houses the panoramic saunas, the Turkish bath, the private-SPA with a saline outdoor whirlpool and the fun cold “snowflake” cabin with real snow inside, while on the third level there are the beautiful suites, including the Garden Suite with a garden for exclusive use.
The peculiarity of each level is the wonderful panoramic view of Lake Lugano that can be enjoyed from any room, both from the relaxation areas and saunas, as well as from the La Dolce Vita Lounge & Terrace.
It is here that you can relax with a lake fish club sandwich and a drink after a day at the spa, perhaps sipping a cocktail, created by the sommelier and bar manager Fabrizio Pavlic, based on infusions and gin prepared at home as Premium Aria Pink Gin, infused with Rose water, and Ariaologist, a gin made with alpine herbs and flowers.

The Secret
The resort is located within the Parco San Marco Hotels & Beach Resort where La Musa Restaurant & Rooftop Terrace, the fine dining restaurant, is also located. Access to the resort is via a scenic underground passage built inside the mountain. Long over 50 meters, it is illuminated with RGB White light controlled by a DMX system that creates, surprisingly, dynamic lighting scenarios.
