Moebius Milano (MI)
In Milan, a gigantic 700 sq m loft where various souls coexist, from the tapas bar to the gourmet restaurant, coordinated by chef Enrico Croatti, under the banner of internationality, good food and good music.
Opened in 2020, Moebius Milano is located in a charming former textile warehouse that Lorenzo Querci falls in love with when passing by by chance. That earth-sky space with 12-meter ceilings between via Vittor Pisani and Corso Buenos Aires was simply perfect to make his dream come true. From Tuscany, with “food in his blood” (his father runs a historic restaurant in Siena), he decides to stop in Milan, after having traveled the world, and to open his first restaurant, inspired by the countries that had impressed him most, from Hong Kong to Spain, to simply offer the best of international food, music and entertainment.
Moebius is a container of cultures, food, music, designed to encourage fun and conviviality.
(Lorenzo Querci, founder)
He draws on his passions, starting with the name Moebius which is, in fact, the pseudonym of Jean Giraud, the French cartoonist, famous for his dream worlds and extraordinary fantastic heroes. And as in the comics, Lorenzo turns to a team of “superheroes” for his restaurant: starting with Enrico Croatti, two Michelin stars and the first Italian chef to take the star in Spain, who coordinates the kitchens of the two restaurants.
Yes, because at Moebius, first of all, two restaurants coexist: on the ground floor the Moebius Tapa Bistrot where tapas are served in a convivial setting, while on the upper floor Moebius Sperimentale, a suspended room with only 25 seats and a chef table in front of the open kitchen from where guests can admire the chef and his team at work.
Two completely different cuisines, albeit in the name of quality: if among the tapas you can order the Mexican Burrito or the Potato Croquettes in sharing, in the Sperimentale you can taste the most famous Croatti creations such as the Agnolotti with ossobuco or El Bacalao en San Sebastián in a fun tasting menu para compartir.
The cultural and gastronomic offer of Moebius is completed by a spectacular concrete Cocktail Bar with over 300 references of liqueurs and spirits that hosts evenings with international bartenders and a vinyl store created in collaboration with the nearby Massive Music Store.
In fact, Moebius also offers the best of live entertainment (just consult its social networks to stay updated on scheduled events) with live music every Monday and Thursday evening under the banner of jazz in all its forms.
And as if that weren’t enough to make you fall in love with this place, Lorenzo and his team have really thought “big” even in the interior design: from the suspended restaurant room made with an original iron-glass structure to the gigantic convivial table built with only two pieces of a single oak tree of 900 kilos assembled together up to the pieces of modern antiques chosen, piece by piece, in vintage furniture shops.
The Tapa Bistrot and the Cocktail Bar are open from 6pm until 2am, while the Sperimentale can be booked for dinner until 10.30pm.
The Secret
In the restaurant there is also a monumental olive tree that comes from Andalusia: 700 years old, 8 meters high for 80 quintals, it was bought by Lorenzo because it reminded him, thanks to the particular shape of its trunk, the dreamlike atmospheres of Moebius’ landscapes. To contain it, an open-air concrete tank was built around it.
