Lubna Milano

In Scalo Romana, a listening restaurant and cocktail bar inspired by fire and industrial archaeology

Lubna Milano (MI) — Lombardia Secrets

Lubna Milano is a listening restaurant and cocktail bar in the vibrant cultural hub of Via Vezza d'Oglio, where signature cuisine meets post-industrial design and the soul of vinyl.

Lubna is located in a former industrial space near the Prada Foundation, a creative hub that shares space with the Magma event venue and the futuristic Scaramouche art gallery. It was born from the vision of entrepreneur Lorenzo Querci, already well-known for creating Moebius, one of the most successful venues in Milan over the last decade. The name, in fact, comes from one of his passions and recalls the character of an Italian comic from the late 1970s, Ranxerox, just as Moebius is a tribute to the great French illustrator and cartoonist.

The venue, unique in the city, combines traditional cuisine by Michelin-starred chef Enrico Croatti with bartender Giovanni Allario‘s smoky mixology and DJ sets exclusively featuring analog vinyl.

Lubna is an experience that unites cuisine, mixology, art, and music into a single vision. A dynamic space where “fire” is the common thread.

Atmospheric design by Q-bic

The architectural renovation has preserved the original traces and atmosphere of the industrial site, originally an oxygen depot in the early 1900s. Enclosed in a dramatic, fully glassed-in semicircular space designed by the prestigious Florence-based architecture firm Q-bic, the venue engages in a constant dialogue with the surrounding square, home to the summer terrace, through a transparent interplay of light and shadow, revealing a magnetically alluring interior.

The beating heart of the space is an imposing 15-meter monolithic bar, a masterful work of structural craftsmanship. Equally spectacular are the DJ booth and high-fidelity sound system, literally carved out of concrete: not simply a piece of technical furniture, but a sculptural extension of the space designed to channel sound waves in a warm, yet unobtrusive manner.

Enrico Croatti’s Primitive Cuisine: The Ritual of Fire

The culinary offering is entrusted to chef Enrico Croatti—a creative genius who also helmed Moebius and boasts an extraordinary background studded with three Michelin stars. For LUBNA, Croatti has stripped the culinary experience of all superstructure to return to an authentic, visceral, and primitive Italian culinary identity, built entirely around the fire of the embers.

The menu unfolds through just three archetypal sections: raw meat, grilled meats, and gelato. Among the signature dishes are the mixed grill and grilled lasagna, served exclusively on Sunday lunchtime and conceived as a ritual of family conviviality and rediscovered memories.

Liquid Identity: Embers in Cocktail Style

The drinks menu is designed by Giovanni Allario, who has accomplished exceptional research, transposing the theme of embers and smoke into a liquid version.

Alongside impeccable interpretations of classics, Lubna offers cutting-edge creations such as the Tropical Americano, a mesmerizing blend of Campari, Vermouth Bianco Ambrato, Toasted Barley, Passion Fruit, and artisanal carbonation, surprising with its visual and palate balance.

The Lubna Experience

From Friday to Sunday, the evenings are exclusively hosted by analog DJ sets on vinyl. A smooth and deep selection of sounds, perfect for accompanying conversation without ever overwhelming it.

Numerous events are organized, such as the Lubna Sunday Market, which you can stay up to date on via the venue’s social media.

The Secret

Lorenzo had wanted to include a very ancient olive tree in Moebius because, thanks to the unique shape of its trunk, it reminded him of the dreamlike atmospheres of Moebius comic book landscapes. Since it brought him good luck, he also placed a 500-year-old one in Lubna’s outdoor spaces.
