Located in Brescia, inside Areadocks, Loft Restaurant is an eclectic open space that combines the bohemian spirit of the old stations with the refined one of an art gallery.
Areadocks, an entertainment hub of 5,000 square meters, was founded in 2004 with the aim, wanted by the owners Alberto Marengoni and Alessandro Cestaro, to become a crossroads of people, things, trends, in perfect philological harmony with the place: a fascinating 19th-century railway warehouse.
The flagship of the complex’s food offer, Loft perfectly embodies the philosophy of Areadocks: a refined open space that combines industrial DNA with the refinement of art galleries, embellished with a big open kitchen that, surrounded by exotic plants and precious objects, it itself becomes a gigantic artistic installation.
Loft’s cuisine reflects the philosophy of Areadocks, a combination of products and trends of excellence designed with the simple aim of creating emotion and fun.
(Andrea Ugo, executive chef)
The interior of the restaurant was, in fact, created by Arearredo, the in-house design studio from which the whole Areadocks world started, and which, for over 30 years, has been researching vintage objects, statement pieces and works of art all over the world.
Alongside the great design icons, in the restaurant, in fact, we find many objects marketed exclusively by Arearredo such as the Berkel machines, the Murano glass chandeliers, the retro motorcycles, restored vintage safes.
At Loft, in fact, everything is for sale and the settings change continuously in dialogue with the magnificent patio, on which the restaurant opens with large industrial windows, that houses the Loft Garden Bar, the buzzy scene of aperitifs and parties.
In the kitchen, the executive chef Andrea Ugo, from Venice, proposes recipes that combine the Brescian tradition with that of the great cultural melting pot that is Venice, following a philosophy that embraces sustainability both in the search for raw materials, chosen from local and organic suppliers, and in scheduling soft shifts in the kitchen.
It is above all thanks to this approach that Loft is famous for the vibrant and international atmosphere, transmitted with a smile also by the impeccable staff.
Among the most popular recipes, the pumpkin lasagna with grilled prawns, the paccheri pasta with diced swordfish and violet artichokes or, among the main courses, the hamburger Areadocks of Prussian beef (200g) with foie gras escalope, black truffle, cheddar cheese, caramelized red onion and fried potatoes with Sarawak pepper.
Everything is homemade, from pasta to desserts, among which the Black Forest Gateau and the tasting of the famous and colorful artisan chocolates produced by the Areadocks patisserie deserve a special mention.
And if you too fell in love with the Areadocks world at first sight, from 2021 you can also sleep in the wonderful 13-room art boutique hotel, while, if you want an exotic experience, next to Loft is Oriental, the latest addition dedicated to Japanese haute cuisine.
