Ceresio 7 Pools and Restaurant was born in 2013, from an idea of the creative duo Dean and Dan Caten, designers of Dsquared2, on the top floor of a 1930s building, formerly Enel. The first terrace with swimming pools and rooftop to open in Milan, it’s today one of the main symbols of the city’s skyline.

The influence of the Caten twins is already evident from the architecture of the restaurant, divided into two perfectly identical spaces, “twins” precisely in their honor, with 2 swimming pools, areas used as cocktail bars, restaurants and an interior design inspired by Made in Italy. The furnishings, from the 1940s, are characterized by sophisticated colors, such as teal and carmine, highlighted by typically deco-style materials: brass, marble and vintage-effect wood.

The atmosphere, truly unique in Milan, is that of a membership club that offers all the services of a 5-star hotel…without rooms. Open every day from 12.30 to 1.30 at night, it is designed as a space to live in total freedom, always feeling like “at home”: for a business lunch, dinner or evening drinks by the pool; the venue is also available to be privatized for business meetings or celebrations.

And here, Dean and Dan and their “family” are truly at home, as the many parties here organized are evidenced by the photos hanging in the rooms: from Jennifer Lopez to Micheal Bublè, are many the celebrities that regularly attend the place.

The two swimming pools with 360-degree views of the most iconic buildings of the Milanese skyline, from the Unicredit Tower to the Vertical Forest, make it the venue with one of the most beautiful views of the city.

The kitchen is headed by chef Elio Sironi, executive chef of the Bulgari Hotel in Milan for 7 years, who interprets the great classics of Italian cuisine with great solidity, reworked to enhance the absolute quality of the raw material.

The cocktail list is excellent; in addition to the most famous classic cocktails, it boasts some signatures created specifically for Ceresio 7. This includes, for instance, Penicillin #2 based on Mezcal Nuestra Soledad, Casamigos Reposado, orange & lemon sherbet, ginger, agave nectar, and citrus fruits, or Centenary, a tribute to the Negroni anniversary where a distillate flavored with spices and herbs is used instead of gin, combined with a Finnish gin aged in barrels of white oak. Vermouth, Bitter Riserva Martini and Barolo Chinato complete the cocktail.

The Secret

Keep an eye on the walls of the venue as they display important works from the private collection of Dean and Dan, such as two lithographs by Basquiat or photos by Helmut Newton.
